Team GLFB in Brighton
London to Brighton Cycle 2011
This year was our first year at this event – and it was a great success. An amazing team of 13 cyclists tackled the numerous hills on the way to the sea front in Brighton to raise over £2000 for the GLFB. Six of the riders were visually impaired – supported by sighted pilot riders on the front seat of their tandems.

Asics British 10k 2011
Another first for the team, four of us lined up at the starting line ready to take on this amazing route. Craig and Katherine from the fundraising team at the GLFB took on the challenge, along with volunteer Letticia and Katherine's sister Joanne. It was a great day and together we raised £925.25!

Our top Bupa 10,000 fundraiser at the finish line.
Bupa London 10,000 2011
2011 was a year of new beginnings for Team GLFB – our first three entrants in the Bupa London 10,000 gathered in Green Park to start the route. It was an amazing sunny day and they all finished in excellent time – raising £1369.99 in the process! Amazing effort all round.

Mirka of Team GLFB at the London Marathon finish lineLondon Marathon 2011
Our incredible Marathon team gathered in Greenwich at the starting line, whilst Katherine and Louise from the office staked out prime cheering spots on Narrow Street. Our runners finally made it to the finish line where they were greeted with cheers along the Mall, and huge congratulations from Katherine and Louise.
