Blind in Business Employment Workshop

Employment training workshop provided by Blind in Business – a GLFB grant recipient.

My name is Khafsa Ghulam and I am the Special Grants and Member Liaison Officer at the GLFB. My role is to manage the Special Projects Fund by providing advice and guidance to prospective and existing applicants and grant recipients.

We are now accepting applications for our Special Projects Fund, so if you would like to learn more or make an application, then please get in touch.

The Special Projects Fund is designed to support organisations to meet the needs of blind and partially sighted people in Greater London. In the past we have funded a variety of projects such as the setup of sport teams and music groups, as well as funding organisations which help people with sight loss to develop their employment skills.

So, if your project has the scope to make a positive and direct impact on the lives of blind and partially sighted Londoners, then we want to hear from you. Do get in touch, especially if your project is innovative.

I am happy to talk to you before you make an application and support you through the application process; as well as keeping in contact with you during and after the duration of your project. You can contact me using my email address:

For additional background information, please click here for our Special Projects Fund webpage.

Please note, the application deadline for the 2017-2018 grant programme is 14 March 2018.

We hope to support some great projects and look forward to hearing from you!

Thank you.
