Paul enjoying work at ClarityA job is much more than a job for Paul. With three out of every four blind people out of work, finding a job can be a soul-destroying task for a blind person. Clarity-Employment for Blind People has employed Paul for 20 years, where he helps manufacture toiletry products.
Recently, Paul embarked on a training course in Performing Manufacturing Operations, as part of Clarity's extension of employment activities, where he not only gained an NVQ but also won the Award for Excellence for the most progress made by a work-based student.
Paul says, 'Having a job is so very important. It makes you feel wanted, helps you to keep independent and enables you to pay the bills without having to rely upon others. My work mates and I are so grateful to the very special opportunities provided by Clarity.'
