The aim of Middlesex Association for the Blind is to enable clients to lead independent
lives through the use of their services thus leading to an improvement in their quality
of life. They aim to help assist visually impaired people within their district to overcome
the increased difficulties created through sight loss.
Funding from the Greater London Fund for the Blind helps them to provide such services as:
- a Home Visiting Programme using volunteers to visit visually impaired people living on their own
- Midsight Hospital Information Desk in the ophthalmology department providing individuals within essential information at the point of diagnosis
- a Resource Centre demonstrating aids and equipment
- advice and support
- a Community Link Officer who provides information on all the services in the area
