Since its establishment in 1854, the sole aim of Clarity-Employment for Blind People has been to provide visually impaired people with the dignity of employment and the financial security, which comes with it in order for them to lead as normal a life as possible.
When visually impaired people find it difficult to compete for open employment, Clarity's factory can offer training and employment. It is Clarity's intention to care for its blind employees throughout their lives and considerable sums are expended in providing adequate pensions during retirement and also in making ex-gratia payments in times of need whenever they may arise.
The factory in London produces quality toiletry and household products and for more than fifty years the Charity has been selling these products through a nationwide Direct Sales Organisation. The operation today is organised through regional managers who recruit and train local telesales agents who sell products direct to householders and businesses.
