Croydon Voluntary Association provides social amenities for 1000 people within the Borough as well as a weekly talking newspaper. Rehabilitation services offered include training in mobility and daily living skills and counselling. Their counsellor is blind herself so can relate to the issues experienced by individuals who lose their sight. CVAB have a close relationship with the local eye hospital and can greatly assist individuals who are newly registered blind.
Funding from the Greater London Fund for the Blind also helps CVAB to provide other vital services, such as:

- Talking newspapers
- Adult education
- Lunch clubs
