GLFB GLFB - The 1920's
  • Launch of the Fund in 1921 by Sir Arthur Pearson with the establishment of the annual Geranium Day appeal

  • HRH Louise, the Princess Royal was appointed the first Royal Patron of the Fund

  • In 1928 the first radio appeal took place on the BBC by Captain Sir Beachcroft Towse VC raising a total of £3,143
