What do you dream of for the future?
If you could have one wish, what would it be?
We all know we won't be around for forever, so taking a moment to think about the world we'd like future generations to inherit from us can be both inspiring and scary.
By supporting the Greater London Fund for the Blind you've already helped to make the world a better place for thousands of blind and partially sighted people.
Yet there is more we can do.
That's why my wish for the future is simple: I want to make our city the best place in the world for blind people to live.
Doing so won't be easy, but it is a goal I strive to achieve and I need your assistance.
There are three simple ways you can help me realise my dream:
1. Make a donation so that we can provide crucial services today.
2. Consider leaving the GLFB a gift in your Will and help to provide a brighter future for blind people. For more information on legacies please click here.
3. Tell your friends and family about my ambitions and see if they'd be willing to help us achieve it together.
Celebrating 90 Years of Caring for Blind People
2011-12 sees the 90th anniversary of the launch of the GLFB. This important landmark has been reached thanks to generations of people showing their commitment to helping blind people.
To mark this historic occasion I have produced the following timeline, which highlights some of the key achievements and moments in the Fund's past and shows the crucial part our wonderful supporters (including you) have played in our success.
90th Timeline Picture
We are really proud of our history, and we love to hear any stories and anecdotes that you may have about our past fundraising and work. I hope you have the time to fill out this short survey to add your story to the GLFB's exciting history.
